PH Azkals beat Mongolia, 2-0, last night in the opening game of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup). The Azkals scored a goal in the first half courtesy of Emili Caligdong. Phil Younghusband ended the game after scoring PH’s second goal in the second half.
I wasnt able to watch the entire game, but I’m happy for Azkal’s win. This may be insignificant in the international level, but it sure is a big step for football’s development here in the Philippines. Kudos to PH Azkals and I’m hoping to see more success in the future.
