One shot was all Adamson Falcons needed to put away the DLSU Green Archers yesterday at the Big Dome. The Falcons led by as much as 22 points after their offensive barrage in the 2nd quarter. In the fourth period, the Archers slowly chopped the lead as Vosotros and Dela Paz took charge. Down 3 points with about 15 seconds left, Vosotros drained a triple after a timeout to tie the game at 66. Nuyles on the other hand made a go-ahead basket on the other end to put the Falcons up by 2 markers with less than a second left in the game effectively winning the game for his team.
Coming back from a 20 point deficit and losing it in the dying seconds is a very tough loss. Had La Salle made a couple of shots in the 2nd period, the outcome of the game might have been different. There’s no use crying over spilled milk, but I do hope La Salle learns something from this experience. The second round has just begun and La Salle needs to work on its game to make sure that they’ll reach the playoffs.
