SAVE THE SONICS

April 17, 2008

I’m not really a fan of Sonics but as an NBA follower, I’m joining the petition to stop their relocation to Oklahoma City. I’m joining the petition to keep the Sonics in Seattle for one simple reason: the Sonics belong in Seattle, let’s keep it that way. Let’s keep the 40 years of basketball tradition in Seattle intact. To anybody reading this who has power over the issue, please make the difference and vote against the relocation of Sonics.

The New Jersey Nets overwhelmed the Sonics and defeated them 99-88. Richard Jefferson led the game with 28 points and Vince Carter added 18. It was a great game for the Nets as they shot 48 percent from the field and 50 percent beyond the arc.

Jason Kidd

Kidd had the chance to finish with the triple-double after collecting 8 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds in the first period but was happy to rest the final period and get the win.The New Jersey Nets stay above .500 with an 18-17 record in the Atlantic division while the Seattle Supersonics is 9-26 in the Northwest division.
