All-around point guard Jason Kidd recorded his 50th triple double with the New Jersey Nets in a 93-88 win against the Philadelphia 76ers. Kidd stuffed his stat sheets with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists to record his 88th career triple double and a win against the Sixers. The Nets needed that kind of effort after they got pounded the previous night in a 37 point loss to the Toronto Raptors.
Richard Jefferson posted 22 points and swingman Vince Carter added 18 points while returning big man Nenad Krstic only managed to score 6 points and grab 6 rebounds. Malik Allen and Antoine Wright scored 10 points apiece for the Nets.
Andre Igoudala led the Sixers with 16 points and Kyle Korver contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds. Samuel Dalembert finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds but he missed 4 of 8 free throws in the concluding minutes that extinguished the hopes of Sixers for a late rally.
