Nuggets Drops Third Straight Game, Celtics Improves to 3-0

After opening the season with two wins, Denver Nuggets dropped their last three games.

Boston Celtics handed the Nuggets their third straight loss in the season while the Celtics improved to a 3-0 record.

The triumvirate of Celtics combined for 71 points to carry the team to a victory against the Nuggets. Paul Pierce scored 26 points; Kevin Garnett contributed 23 points and 13 rebounds while Ray Allen added 22 points for the green squad. Head coach Doc Rivers was back with the team after he missed a game when his father passed away.

The Nuggets seemed troubled with their offense with Allen Iverson making only 22 points and he was the only Nuggets player who scored over 20 points. Nuggets’ leading scorer Carmelo Anthony struggled in the field and finished with only 11 points on 3-13 shooting. It was a bad defeat for the Nuggets who lost their previous game to the New York Knicks the other day.
