King James’ 38 Point Effort Carries Cavs against Celtics

Lebron James scored 38 big points and handed the Big Three their second loss this season when the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 109-104.  The King had help from his teammates as well.  Drew Gooden scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 15 points and 14 rebounds.  James also had 13 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks to go with his 38 points.

Ray Allen led the Celtics with 20 points but got little help from the others.  Kevin Garnett finished with 19 points while Paul Pierce added 16 points.  The Big Three of Celtics fought hard in the game but they were outscored by the trio of James, Gooden and Ilgauskas 77-64.

The Boston Celtics are 11-2 in the Atlantic and the Cleveland Cavaliers are 9-6 in the Central division.

The Celtics will host the New York Knicks on the 29th and the Cavs will travel to Detroit to face the Pistons on the November 28th.
