The New Jersey Nets overwhelmed the Sonics and defeated them 99-88. Richard Jefferson led the game with 28 points and Vince Carter added 18. It was a great game for the Nets as they shot 48 percent from the field and 50 percent beyond the arc.
Sonics reserve Johan Petro led his team with 22 points while Nick Collison contributed 18 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Durant only managed to add 15 points on a 5-14 shooting.
