Playoff-Newbie Sixers Stun the Seasoned Pistons

Andre Miller scored 20 points and led the Philadelphia 76ers for a win over the Detroit Pistons. The young and inexperienced Philly squad started and ended the game strong to take first game of the series against playoff hardened Pistons.

Willie Green finished with career playoff-high 17 points and rookie Thaddeus Young added 10 points. Andre Iguodala was all over the place and finished the game with a near triple double stat. He had 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists.

Rasheed Wallace led the game with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Rip Hamilton added 13 points while Tayshaun Prince and Jason Maxiell each scored 12 markers. Chauncey Billups finished with 14 points but missed crucial free-throws and a lay-up down the stretch.

The second seeded Pistons were expected to win the series with ease against the seventh-seeded Sixers but the Sixers wanted to come back to Philadelphia with at least a win in tow. Game 2 will be played at the Palace on the 23rd before the series heads to Philadelphia for games 4 and 5.

  1. As a basketball sport lover, I have a special love for Philadelphia Sixers and always follow them wherever they go if only have some time. I do not care if Sixers tickets are always a little bit pricy but I don’t care about prices. Philadelphia Sixers tickets are pricy but never mind when you want to watch your favourite team. There are other great NBA teams that might be great teams too but Sixers is my best team and always do my best to attend heir games.
