Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell was knocked out cold after Rashad Evans landed a vicious right hand square on his chin. Evans went inside the octagon as the underdog then came out the winner after pulling off one of the biggest upsets in the UFC.
Liddell, having lost 3 of his last 4 fights, stands at 21-6 while Evans has 14 wins against 0 defeats.
Liddell was already booked to fight current UFC light heavyweight champion, Forrest Griffin on December, but with Evans’ victory, Liddell might take the backseat for awhile. Though nothing is really final, UFC officials already declared that Evans earned the chance to fight for the light heavyweight title in the coming months.
