MMA sensation Gina Carano proved that she’s more than a pretty face in the Mixed Martial Arts biz. Though she failed to meet the 140-limit for the second time in a row, she still went on to win the fight against Kelly Kobold via three-round unanimous decision.
Carano unleashed flurries of nasty strikes but Kobold absorbed most of them easily. Kobold attempted to take Carano down to the mat for most of the match but Carano’s stand-up game was just better. Carano also showed improvements with her takedown defense as she thwarted most of her opponent’s takedown attempts.
Carano clinched the victory when she peppered Kobold with vicious strikes in the third round including a couple of hard kicks to the face.
Carano won the fight with the scores of 30-27, 29-28 and 30-27. Her MMA record improves to 7-0.
