WBO Asia-Pacific lightweight champion Bobby “The Sniper” Pacquiao suffered yet another setback in his lackluster career when North American Boxing Association lightweight champion Robert “Red Hot” Frankel defeated him via unanimous decision on last November 20 at HP Pavillion, San Jose, CA.
Frankel took control of the fight early on as he connected big right hands. Even though he was losing on the score cards, Pacquiao did very little to get back into the fight. Though he managed to open a cut above Frankel’s right eye in the sixth round, Pacquiao ultimately lost the fight after the scheduled 10 rounds. All three judges scored the bout 98-91 in favor of Frankel.
