Howard’s Double-Double Effort Powers the Magic Over Nets

Orlando Magic Jason Kidd put on another impressive night after he recorded his 89th career triple-double but on a losing cause. Dwight Howard powered the Orlando Magic to beat the New Jersey Nets 95-70 and hand them their 4th straight loss. Howard seemed unstoppable in the game where he posted 21 points and 19 rebounds. Rashard Lewis had 27 points and Jameer Nelson contributed 15 points and 7 assists.

Howard (21 years, 343 days old) replaced Shaquille O’Neal as the youngest player to grab 3000 career rebounds. He now has 3003 career rebounds

Nets leading scorer Richard Jefferson struggled as he finished with only 15 points on 4-19 shooting. Perennial point guard Kidd posted a huge triple-double with career high 19 rebounds, 11 points and 10 assists. Antoine Wright had 14 points and Bostjan Nachbar added 13 points for the Nets. The Nets who are playing without Vince Carter dropped their fourth straight game.

Orlando Magic now hold an 8-2 in the Southeast while the New Jersey Nets have 4-5 record in the Atlantic Division.
